Parts that use ISO 898-1
- Hex head bolt (partly threaded) (ISO / EN, grade)
Bolt with a hexagon head and a plain shank part, used with a nut to clamp flanges, brackets and machine parts.
Grades: 4.6, 5.6, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9 etc.
Strength classes for carbon and alloy steel bolts. - Hex head screw (fully threaded) (ISO / EN, grade)
Hexagon head screw threaded up to the head, used into tapped holes or with a nut where a plain shank is not needed.
Grades: 4.6 to 12.9 - Stud bolt / threaded rod (ISO / EN, grade)
Rod threaded at both ends or full length, used with two nuts for flanges, housings and long clamps.
Grades: 4.6 to 12.9
Strength classes; also apply to studs. - Foundation / anchor bolt (ISO / EN, grade)
Bolt cast or grouted into concrete to hold machines, columns and base plates down.
Property class 4.6 / 8.8
Grades: Property classes 4.6, 5.6, 8.8, 10.9
Strength classes for the bolt; shape comes from DIN 529 or drawing.
